8-Zi provides digital readings inspired by Chinese metaphysics for cultural, entertainment, and self-reflection purposes.

Information We Process

• Email address, account identifier, and sign-in status
• Nickname or name, including names entered for relationship comparisons
• Birth date, birth time, optional birth city, and optional birth country
• Approximate timezone inferred from request headers, when available
• Selected focus area
• Payment status and order information
• Generated reading content
• Optional guide cadence, AI consent, and email consent records
• Points, membership access, report timestamps, and necessary security logs
• Anonymous product events: a random session identifier, interface language, feature used, and generation or purchase step. These exclude birth data, raw questions, and report text, and are disabled when Do Not Track is enabled.

A birth city is historical chart information that you enter, not device location. The current app does not request device location permission. We do not collect or store full payment card details. Payment information is processed by our payment provider. To make it easier to continue later, a birth date, time, and question draft may be kept only on the current device; deleting the corresponding Bazi report or the account also clears it.

AI Readings and Service Providers

A Bazi AI deep reading is generated only after your explicit consent. 8-Zi sends DeepSeek the name or nickname, birth date, available exact birth time, a length-limited privacy-filtered question, selected topic, and server-recalculated Four Pillars, Ten Gods, five elements, interactions, and fortune-cycle facts. Phone numbers, email, identity numbers, payment or account secrets, birthplace, and precise addresses and coordinates are masked or excluded. Account identifiers, report IDs, and access keys are not sent. Automated processing cannot detect every private detail, so do not add unnecessary sensitive data. Without consent, deterministic chart facts and calculation evidence remain available, but DeepSeek is not called to generate AI narrative.

A Zi Wei AI deep reading transfers data only after your explicit consent for that generation. It sends names or nicknames, birth date, available exact birth time, server-recalculated twelve-palace and star facts, selected topic, and a length-limited, privacy-filtered supplemental question. Names and nicknames may remain as written. Phone numbers, email, identity numbers, payment or account secrets, and precise addresses and coordinates belonging to the user or a third party are masked or excluded. Account identifiers, report IDs, and access keys are not sent. Automated processing cannot detect every private detail, so do not add unnecessary sensitive data.

A Liu Yao AI deep reading transfers data only after your explicit consent for that generation. It sends the length-limited original question (ordinary names, nicknames, birth dates, and exact times may remain as written), casting time and method, primary and changed hexagrams, moving lines, self and response positions, six relations and spirits, month/day vitality, void branches, hidden spirits, and use-god status. Only after your explicit consent, AI Natal Personality sends DeepSeek the output language, selected focus, and minimized anonymous chart features recalculated by the server from your private birth data. These are limited to calculation version, zodiac and house system, the signs occupied by planets, the Ascendant and Midheaven, house and retrograde flags, and the two bodies in each major aspect. It does not send the raw birth date, time, UTC offset, place label, latitude, longitude, exact celestial longitude or degree, aspect orb, name, contact details, account identifier, or report access key.

Only after your explicit consent, AI Talent Discovery sends DeepSeek the complete private interview conversation, current answer, and prior evidence-coverage progress so it can ask the next question or produce an evidence-linked report. Ordinary names, nicknames, birth dates, and exact times remain when they belong to the interview context; phone numbers, email, identity numbers, payment or account secrets, precise addresses, and coordinates are masked before transfer. The interview, structured evidence, and report remain stored in your account until you delete that talent session or report, or delete the account.

DeepSeek may process and store received privacy-filtered questions, birth-derived chart structure, category fields, fixed lot text, or private interview content sent with your consent in the People's Republic of China and may use inputs to improve or train its technology under its policy. Each AI consent applies only to that generation. Not starting another AI reading prevents new transfers but cannot reverse processing already completed by a provider. You can also delete an individual report or your 8-Zi account and contact us for applicable data-rights requests.

We may use Supabase for accounts and cloud storage, Resend for service email, and an approved payment provider for orders. Providers may process data outside your country or region. We require every provider receiving user data to process it only to deliver the relevant service and to provide the same or equal protection required by this policy and Apple's rules. We re-review material provider-policy changes before continuing the integration and update this disclosure when needed.

How We Use Information

We use information to generate readings, process orders, send report links, provide support, reduce form friction, improve the product, prevent abuse, and comply with legal and payment platform requirements.

Retention and Security

Data remains until you delete a report or your account. Transaction, tax, or dispute records that must be retained by law may remain longer. Private reports use random access keys, and account sessions use secure cookies. Do not publicly share report links containing access keys. No online service can promise absolute security.

Access and Deletion

Each saved Bazi report has a private access link. A report holder can delete an individual report from its data controls. You can also delete your account and associated cloud data from Membership. This does not reverse a completed payment or remove records a payment provider must legally retain. Deleting an 8-Zi account does not cancel an Apple subscription; Membership provides subscription management before final confirmation. After deletion, delayed Apple renewal notifications cannot recreate the 8-Zi account or membership profile.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. Minors should use it with guardian awareness and where permitted by applicable law.
